Garrett Crispell

Nature and Wildlife Photographer
Have camera, will travel...

Raised in Sacramento, California, Garrett has lived in Oregon, Iowa, Nevada, California and to date, ended up in Anchorage, Alaska. Garrett’s interest in photography began when he was nine years old and received a Kodak Instamatic 104 for his birthday. As time progressed, Garrett learned and practiced the various components to capturing a decent image. In addition to landscape and scenic photography, Garrett has photographed and is available to shoot weddings, portraits, animal portraits, and private functions.

Camping and hiking throughout Northern California as a youth exposed and brought to light the importance of resource management and environmental issues. It took some time, but Alaska finally became a reality.

Garrett's first trip to Alaska (1988) included two friends, covered 115 miles backpacking, 80 mile float over a 23 day period through the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). He was hooked on Alaska at that point and swore he would live there someday...

His second trip to Alaska (2006) was a 21 day photo expedition throughout Central Alaska: Kenai Peninsula, Kenai Fjords National Park, Denali National Park, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, Kennecott/McCarthy, and Prince William Sound.

Garrett transferred through his "regular job" to Anchorage in February, 2009, enabling him to travel throughout half of Alaska, fulfilling his job duties and capturing as many wildlife, scenic landscape photo ops as possible.

Canvas Giclée

The Giclée process enables printing directly onto museum-quality canvas material. High-quality archival inks produce images with smooth tones and rich colors, making these prints ideal for extraordinary presentations. Protective spray coating is applied to the surface of each print to help prevent scratches and other damage.

Canvas prints are available in three different mounting options: Traditional Canvas Wrap, Stretched Canvas, and Canvas Board.

Traditional Canvas Wrap

Traditional Canvas Wrap prints are a stylish, low-cost alternative to traditional framing. The print is wrapped around a stretcher frame so that 1 1/2" of the photo's edges are visible on the sides of the frame. They're delivered display-ready with hanging hardware attached.

Stretched Canvas

Stretched Canvas mounting is a unique way to display your images like a fine art canvas. The print is stretched to the edge of a 3/4" thick wooden frame, and stapled around the edges, leaving the full image on the front. Perfect for framing.

Canvas Board

Canvas Board prints are mounted onto sturdy Gator Foamboard, a very rigid foamboard and lightweight backing with a white finish.

More Options for Your Wall

ThinWrap

Beautiful photo prints neatly wrapped around sturdy, 3/16" Gatorboard.

Choose the perfect paper for your photo: metallic, lustre or giclee canvas. All papers come finished with a satin laminate for a soft, subtle glow.

ThinWraps arrive ready-to-hang, backed with two 3/4" thick lightweight foam blocks with pre-drilled holes. The mounting blocks hold the print away from the wall for a contemporary float effect. No frame needed!

Float Mounted MetalPrint

To create MetalPrints we infuse dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets, creating truly archival works of art. These MetalPrints showcase a revolutionary new medium that is highly durable, waterproof, weatherproof, and ultra scratch-resistant. The unique printing method gives your photos a vibrant luminescence with incredible detail and resolution.

Choose from High Gloss and Satin finishes.

Each print has rounded corners for your safety and the surface can be easily cleaned with any commercial glass cleaner.
