Valdez receives a significant amount of precipitation, winter provides a skiing destination for people from around the world. Summer offers fishing and viewing throughout Prince William Sound. If one drives into Valdez, they will get to go over Thompson Pass, considered one of the top 10 mountain passes in the world, provided it isn't "clouded in..."
Along the south end of Laguna Beach off the Pacific Coast Highway is Montage Resort. The public has complete access to the beautiful beach and walkways.
